OMM Signs Distributor

SAN DIEGO -- OMM, Inc., the world leader in MEMS-based optical switching products, today announced that Vectronics Ltd would become the sole distributor for OMM's products in the Israeli market. Vectronics offices are located in Herzelia, Israel. "We are very pleased to have Vectronics as our distributor in Israel", said Ken Falta, director of sales for OMM Inc. "Vectronics has an established track record in selling next generation optical solutions in a region where we see significant potential for our products," he added. OMM's commercially available products include optical add-drop switch arrays, 4x4, 8x8, 2x16, 16x16 and 32x32 all-optical switching modules. Also, OMM and Lightwave Microsystems Corporation recently announced an agreement to develop a new generation of wavelength management and switching products based on micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) and planar lightwave circuits (PLCs).
