WASHINGTON -- Cogent Communications, Inc., a next- generation Internet Service Provider (ISP), today announced it has signed a contract with Jamison Properties, Inc., a leading property management and leasing firm in Los Angeles, to equip the Jamison Properties portfolio with all-optical 100 Mbps Internet access capability. The right of entry and licensing agreement covers 23 commercial buildings in the prestigious and densely populated Wilshire Boulevard area just west of downtown Los Angeles. The properties encompass more than 5.6 million square feet and house approximately 2,000 tenants.
"We are very impressed by Cogent's high-speed service offering. It gives us a unique advantage in the highly competitive L.A. market, and I have no doubt our tenants, particularly our small and medium sized ones, will see this as a tremendous amenity," said Dr. David Lee, president and CEO of Jamison Properties. "We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Cogent."
