T-Mobile's Mishka Dehghan dives into network slicing

T-Mobile announced its first commercial network slicing application. Mishka Dehghan, a top exec at the company, offered insights into how the product will work and how T-Mobile will take it to market.

LAS VEGAS – MWC23 – T-Mobile this week announced its first commercial network slicing application. Mishka Dehghan, SVP of strategy, product and solutions engineering for T-Mobile's Business Group, said the move is part of the operator's efforts to sell secure connections to its enterprise and government customers.

"Our security slice is a key enabler of our SASE solution," Dehghan explained.

T-Mobile this week announced its new T-Mobile Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) offering, which the company said offers security through network slicing and through device SIM cards. T-Mobile's network slicing service is based on the company's standalone (SA) 5G network, which the operator launched almost three years ago.
