WATERLOO, ONTARIO -- Attention: Technology Editors Sandvine, (Toronto:SVC.TO - News)(AIM: SAND) a leading provider of intelligent broadband network solutions for cable, DSL, FTTx, fixed wireless and mobile operators, today announced six new customers from its four sales regions, including four through strategic reseller partnerships.

Sandvine has won initial deployments at:

- three Tier 1 DSL providers (service providers with more than one million broadband subscribers), located in Brazil, Europe and Japan;

- the incumbent DSL provider in Kenya; and

- a wireless operator in Argentina, that is one of the top 100 wireless providers globally, by number of voice subscribers.

These customers are deploying a variety of products including Sandvine's policy traffic switch (PTS) platform and solutions to create new services, manage congestion in their networks, generate network demographic reports, protect against malicious traffic and gain visibility into the traffic and trends on their networks.

"By understanding what is happening on their networks and using tools to implement policy controls, these service providers can better serve their subscribers, optimize traffic, offer new services, mitigate malicious traffic and identify network trends before they become customer issues," said Tom Donnelly, EVP Sales and Marketing, Sandvine. "Smarter networks can bring many benefits to the end-user including increased quality of experience, personalized and tiered services and increased loyalty."
