OTTAWA -- Nakina Systems, a provider of multi-vendor network and security management solutions to network operators worldwide, has been recognized by international market research firm Dittberner Associates as "one of the most innovative software developers in the OSS business today."

According to the Telecom Provisioning, Network Order & Service Management Systems report issued February 2006 by Dittberner, Nakina Systems ".addresses OSS problems that have festered for years." The report goes on to say no vendor has had the skill sets to tackle these problems including multi-vendor element management along with network password control and Layer 1 and 2 network discovery, and that Nakina should be ". one fun company to watch."

Currently service providers are forced to manually issue commands for configuration changes to their network devices using many differing types of software from many different vendors. The tasks are often error prone, with an accuracy rate of no better than 70 percent on many operations. Nakina's software solutions help service providers and their partners dramatically reduce their operating expenses and the amount of software integration required for new projects by consolidating everything onto one platform.

"Our highly scalable solutions for telecom and data networking service providers provide real value and rapid return on investment to our carrier customers," said Mary O'Neill, Vice President of Market Development at Nakina Systems. "Dan Baker and his team at Dittberner are recognized analysts who have tracked our markets for years, so their praise of Nakina reinforces the strength of our product offerings. We're thrilled to be recognized by them as one of the most innovative companies in our market."

OTTAWA -- Nakina Systems, a provider of multi-vendor network and security management solutions to network operators, today announced the company achieved 400 percent growth in revenues in 2005 on a year-over-year basis.

The growth in 2005 was attributed to new customer acquisitions and the further development of existing accounts. MCI is deploying Nakina's Multi-Vendor Element Management System as well as Nakina Open Console and Nakina Security Management. Launched in 2005, Security Management 4.0 provides carriers with a centralized solution for security and password administration on large, multi-vendor networks.

Nakina Systems continued its expansion in 2005 through the opening of offices in United States and U.K. Additionally, the company launched its Nakina Professional Services group, hired several new executives, and closed an additional round of funding early in the year to finance its growth.

"The market is demanding solutions that reduce operational expenditures in today's large, multi-vendor element networks," stated Dave Vicary, President and CEO of Nakina Systems. "End users are demanding new services at an accelerated pace, and this demand is driving the deployment of new technologies faster than ever. Coupled with a desire to simplify and consolidate some of the network complexity that has arisen due to mergers and acquisitions in the industry, these demands are driving strong business prospects for Nakina."
