Sify deploys Proxim Wireless WiMax-capable point-to-multipoint products for last mile access and mobility

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Proxim Wireless Corporation, a global pioneer of end-to-end solutions in Wi-Fi® mesh, WiMAX, MeshMAX(TM), WLAN, and wireless backhaul and wholly owned subsidiary of Terabeam, Inc. (NasdaqCM:TRBM - News), today announced that Sify Limited (NasdaqGM:SIFY - News), has chosen and deployed Proxim's 5.8 GHz Tsunami MP.11 WiMAX-capable product line as its core communications platform for its mobility features and last mile access in India. Sify is one of the largest Internet, network and eCommerce companies in India. Sify has deployed to date over 700 Tsunami MP.11 base stations and 3,500 subscriber units to provide Internet access and voice and video broadband services to residential, enterprise and cybercafé subscribers in over 200 cities throughout India.
