Re: Tablets The sight of proud if clueless parents holding tablets aloft to take photos of their precious offspring doing precious things at a school function was and is priceless.

Re: Tablets I bought a "cheap" Android tablet ($99) a couple of years ago.  It's egregiously slow.  Slow as in tap an icon and wait...wait...wait for the app to load.   For one thing it's stuck on Android 4.1  I am told it would be "much faster" with Android 4.4 yet there have been no notices forthcoming from the manufacturer about updates (same with my smartphone...old Android version, not update forthcoming).

Tablets And don't forget, kids, you can also use them as really unwieldy cameras.
