SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Veraz Networks, Inc., (NASDAQ:VRAZ - News) the leading provider of Multimedia Generation Network application, control, and bandwidth optimization products, today announced its latest media gateway solution, the I-Gate 4000 EDGE SIP Gateway (GW). The I-Gate 4000 EDGE SIP GW interoperates seamlessly with existing PBX and PSTN switches enabling service providers to offer competitive services at a reduced cost without replacing existing equipment.
Operators can rapidly deploy Veraz’s I-Gate 4000 EDGE SIP GW to provision new cost-efficient service offerings for business customers. The I-Gate 4000 EDGE SIP GW enables enterprises to interconnect their existing PBXs to remote offices, teleworkers, and local and long-distance PSTN services over IP, dramatically lowering their voice calling costs. The I-Gate 4000 EDGE SIP GW can be scaled to provide an optimal solution from single PBX sites to multi-tenant buildings and industrial parks with multiple customers’ PBXs.
In addition, the I-Gate 4000 EDGE SIP GW provides high voice compression while maintaining toll quality, significantly reducing bandwidth and routing resource expenses while the redundant architecture and high processing capacity delivers high reliability.
“Gateways make sense for both operators and enterprise customers because they offer a migration path to IP networking without the need to forklift existing infrastructure,” said Eyal Hilzenrat, VP Bandwidth Optimization Business Unit for Veraz Networks. “The I-Gate 4000 EDGE SIP GW enables operators to offer reliable, low-cost interconnection services with ease of deployment and minimal CAPEX and OPEX.”
