Mindspeed appoints Harry Davoody vice president and general manager of multiservice access business unit

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- Mindspeed Technologies(TM), the Internet infrastructure business of Conexant Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CNXT), today announced the appointment of Harry Davoody as vice president and general manager of the company's Multi-Service Access (MSA) business unit. Davoody is a 22-year veteran of Texas Instruments. He will report directly to Mindspeed chief executive officer, Raouf Halim, and will lead product strategy, engineering, marketing and customer support for Mindspeed's voice-over-packet and universal-access solutions worldwide. "Harry is a communications semiconductor industry veteran with tremendous expertise and a proven track record of success in both DSP and analog technologies," said Halim. "His knowledge and management depth will complement our existing capabilities and contribute to the growth of Mindspeed's MSA business." Davoody held positions of increasing responsibility and diversity during his multi-faceted career at Texas Instruments, from IC design engineer to senior applications engineer to strategic marketing director to full worldwide business responsibility. In his last position at Texas Instruments he served as vice president and general manager with worldwide business and full profit and loss responsibility for the digital audio and video product division, encompassing most of Texas Instruments' digital consumer and multimedia products.
