LignUp and D-TAC link to provide billing solutions for VOIP service providers

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. and FT. MEYERS, Fla. –- D-TAC Corporation, the award-winning provider of operations support and billing systems for the converged communications provider industry, and LignUp Corporation, a provider of web services based converged communications solutions, today announced that LignUp applications (IP-Centrex, Voice Mail, Unified Messaging, IVR) deployed on the LignUp Communications Platform now integrate with D-TAC’s voice over IP (VoIP) automated billing solutions. Together, LignUp and D-TAC provide emerging and existing service providers with a low cost of entry platform for building high value VoIP services.

From customer support and invoicing to rate management tools, the D-TAC D-HD high-density billing system provides the tools needed to rapidly build cost-effective automated billing services. The D-TAC solutions work with traditional switches, IP switches, gateways, proxy servers, soft switches and border session controllers – providing service providers with a number of implementation solution combinations that meet reduced budgetary requirements. These solutions lower operating costs by easing management, providing quality CDR management, powerful invoicing, cash receipt, carrier costing, ASR reporting, and statistical route or trunk group information.

The web services based LignUp Communications Platform is deployed with LignUp’s IP-Centrex, Voice Mail, Unified Messaging and IVR web applications. Powered by VoiceXML, LignUp Media Control XML (MCTRL) and LignUp Call Control XML (CCTRL), the LignUp Communications Solution enables existing and emerging service providers to quickly create unique, high margin voice over broadband services for business, residential and vertical market customers. The flexible, web services capabilities enable service providers to avoid service commoditization and preserve profit margin as they deliver a steady stream of differentiated services.

The 100% software, standards based (SIP, RTP, HTTP) LignUp solutions can be deployed with minimum upfront capital. The LignUp Communications Solution operates on inexpensive, standard servers, interoperate with a broad mix of IP phones, IADs and gateways, integrate with D-TAC billing solutions, and connect directly to VoIP termination services via standard SIP hand-off, eliminating the need for additional class-4 switching hardware.
