5:03 PM -- Light Reading's prestigous DFW office was dealt a blow this morning as construction crews cut the power going into the building. The VOIP system went dead as well.

It could be that the communications lines were cut as well as the power. But it raises a question: Do companies like Cbeyond Communications, the building's service provider, share any responsibility to provide battery backup for the phone systems they sell?
