NTT Com and Juniper Networks sign global agreement, establishing Juniper as global supplier of Internet infrastructure to NTT

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:JNPR - News), a leading provider of trusted infrastructures for the New Public Network, today announced a global agreement with NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the global carrier division of Japan's Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), that establishes Juniper Networks as the supplier of Internet Protocol (IP) infrastructure and services to NTT Com to support the build out of its high-performance IP network. The agreement establishes a framework for NTT Com and Juniper Networks to work together globally to provide NTT Com with high quality, reliable and scalable IP networking systems based on Juniper Networks M-series and T-series Internet routing platforms. In addition, Juniper Networks will provide global service and support. "As part of our global IP business strategy, we are building a service-rich NTT/Verio global IP network (AS2914) throughout the United States, Europe and Asia," said Takatoshi Okayama, director of global IP business, NTT Communications. "With the implementation of Juniper Networks' robust and scalable high-performance network infrastructure we achieve superior capabilities to provide our customers with the reliable and cost-effective IP services they are demanding today and in the future.
