SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:JNPR - News) today announced the new J-Partner Application Acceleration Specialization category for Juniper Networks channel partners. This latest product specialization fits into the existing J-Partner channel program infrastructure and provides new opportunities for channel partners to deliver the application acceleration product solutions to their customers. In addition, this new specialization demonstrates Juniper Networks' commitment to sustaining partner profitability, allowing partners to add maximum sales and technical value to these emerging technology solutions for their customers.

With Juniper Networks' recent acquisition of Redline Networks and Peribit Networks, (see release entitled Juniper Networks to Acquire Peribit Networks and Redline Networks, April 26, 2005), J-Partner channel resellers now have access to the Juniper Network DX product for data center acceleration and the Juniper Networks WX product for Wide Area Network (WAN) acceleration. Furthermore, Juniper Networks is transitioning the recently acquired companies' channel partners into the J-Partner Program to maintain consistency and overall customer satisfaction.

J-Partners who specialize in application acceleration will have the ability to deliver higher value to customers by addressing critical business challenges associated with webifying business applications, centralizing servers, consolidating data centers and achieving regulatory compliance.

"Our goal, in designing the J-Partner channel program at Juniper Networks, was to be able to grow the channel partners through specialization and certifications," said Steve Pataky, Juniper Networks' director of global channel development. "This new J-Partner category allows existing J-Partners to leverage Juniper Networks' new application acceleration training and certification to drive incremental revenue and enable them to address their customers' data center and performance critical issues."
