LONDON -- Interoute, owner and operator of Europe's most advanced and densely connected telecommunications network, today confirms its continued interest in acquiring key assets of LambdaNet Communications Deutschland AG. This follows LambdaNet filing for bankruptcy with the district court of Hanover on February 13th 2004.

Interoute has an existing relationship with LambdaNet as its infrastructure supplier. Interoute and LambdaNet have held a series of discussions since last year.

As a privately funded and debt-free company, Interoute's 18,000 kilometre network connects 47 cities in nine countries. Additionally, Interoute owns Metropolitan Area Networks in 18 major European business centres of which six are in Germany, where Interoute also owns a substantial domestic network.

With six Metropolitan Area Networks in Germany and strong customer growth in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the purchase of LambdaNet Communications Deutschland assets would build on Interoute's capabilities.
