ZURICH -- Starhome (www.starhome.com), the leading provider of roaming services and converged solutions has launched a new solution which lets operators prevent leakage of roamers, looking for VoIP alternatives to roaming phone costs. Starhome's Mobile2IP solution allows operators to provide end users with the ability to simply connect their laptop to any IP network and make & receive mobile calls over VoIP using their own MSISDN (Mobile Station Integrated Services Digital Network) number.

The solution is part of Starhome's move towards the next generation of roaming - Roaming 2.0 - and allows users of different devices to route incoming calls according to the zone they are in (IP/GSM) and their preferences - to their IP client, GSM phone or both. For example, a user can be in a hotspot anywhere in the world and choose to receive a call on either their laptop or through their mobile device using the same identity.

"We are proud to be bringing this new solution to the market and feel it demonstrates our position as the leader of Roaming 2.0 solutions for mobile operators" said Orly Nesher VP Marketing at Starhome. "The converged solution creates an adhesiveness between IP and mobile networks which prevents user churn to competitive technologies." continued Nesher.
