MAYNARD, Mass. -- Covergence®, the leading provider of next-generation Session Border Controller solutions, today announced that GlobalConnect/SuperTel A/S, DGC, InTechnology, Hipcom, VanillaIP and IP Directions, have chosen Covergence Session Manager (CSM) to enforce security, management and control policies at the access edge of their networks. CSM, a super set of traditional Session Border Controllers (SBCs), is designed specifically to address the challenges of the most vulnerable region of IP networks – the access edge. By deploying CSM, service providers can deliver Voice over IP (VoIP) and other real-time services, ensuring that customers receive the secure, reliable access to communications service they require.

Demand for VoIP, real-time and enhanced services continues to increase as more enterprises see the potential cost savings and productivity enhancements offered by these services.
