Broadsoft opens new global operations center in Prague and appoints Howard Lewis as general manager for Europe

GAITHERSBURG, Md. and LONDON -- BroadSoft Inc, the leadingprovider of VoIP application software, today announced that it will increaseits presence in Europe with the opening of a new global operations centre inPrague, Czech Republic. The facility will provide unparalleled levels ofservice, training and engineering support to BroadSoft customers. ContinuingBroadSoft's commitment to the European market, the new centre will joinBroadSoft's other operations centers in North America and Asia to deliverglobal 24 by 7 live support through local market technology expertise andassistance.

The ability to quickly satisfy BroadSoft's more than 30 European carriercustomer needs through a centrally located operations office was the primaryincentive behind BroadSoft's decision to establish the Prague facility,which complements the BroadSoft sales offices in Bonn, London, Paris, andStockholm.

Prior to joining BroadSoft, Lewis co-founded Sendo, the UK's only indigenous mobile phone company, in 1999 and was instrumental in the development of the business as Chief Operating Officer and main board director until his departure following Motorola's acquisition in June 2005. He launched the world's first operator customised phones, introduced a range of smartphones on the Symbian platform and over three years sold more than 9 million handsets into 40 countries.
