Tiara Becomes Tasman

LAS VEGAS -- Tiara Networks announced today that it has been re-named Tasman Networks. The name change reflects the company's re-positioning as a mid-range and branch office routing solutions provider, which will enable it to pursue the $4 billion edge routing market segment, a substantially larger target than the earlier $750 million access and aggregation markets served by Tiara. The company has expanded its horizons with the addition of dynamic routing coupled with highly intelligent Layer 2 features that extend over the wide area.
