Tellabs Unveils SmartCore 9200 Edge Routers

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Tellabs is announcing the SmartCore 9200 content-aware IP edge routing platform, boasting 1 terabit per slot capacity handling. The platform can handle up to 11 terabits of capacity in a single chassis, and up to 33 terabits in a single bay.

The platform integrates intelligence onto each line card through the Tellabs SmartCard architecture. The platform also manages from Layer 3 to Layer 7, to give operators a complete network view.

Tellabs is also launching its Insight Analytics Services. When used with the Tellabs SmartCore 9100 Probe, Tellabs Insight Analytics Services gathers comprehensive network data and converts it to actionable information. For operators that have already invested in a network probe, Tellabs Insight Analytics Services works with existing equipment to address network pain points.
