SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced that Radiant Communications, a leading supplier of Broadband Solutions for Business in Canada, has deployed a comprehensive Juniper solution to fuel its business by enabling the introduction of new, more flexible network services.

In order to scale to meet existing and future demand for a single, high-performance network to support thousands of customer locations, Radiant deployed Juniper Networks M-series multiservice routers and Juniper Networks E-series IP Edge and Broadband Services Routers at its major data centers across Canada. Radiant has also deployed Juniper Networks Secure Services Gateway (SSG) 550s and Secure Access 6000 SSL VPN solutions in its network core.

'Juniper had all the pieces we required to build an infrastructure to support our customers' growing needs for performance, security, and capacity,' says Adrian Byram, executive vice president and CTO of Radiant Communications. 'Juniper's high-performance network infrastructure has allowed us to create a single network environment that is unique in Canada and has the flexibility and scale to grow with our customers' businesses.'

The Juniper network infrastructure will underpin Radiant's 'TriplePlay VPN,'a unique new virtual private network (VPN) service that provides customers with a single, managed VPN that supports Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), IPSec, and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) traffic. By supporting multiple VPN protocols, the TriplePlay VPN service provides previously unavailable access flexibility for customers in a simple, cost-effective package.

Explains Byram: 'Radiant's TriplePlay VPN, powered by the Juniper infrastructure, enables Radiant to deliver a seamless VPN solution to a multi-location business: on-net sites across Canada use MPLS, while off-net sites use IPSec, and road warriors connect over an SSL tunnel from any Internet connection. Juniper technology ties together the VPN services so users at all customer locations have secure and reliable access whether in Canada or off net in other parts of the world. Juniper has all the pieces needed and they integrate and operate together cohesively.'
