RadiSys appoints industry veteran as representative director for Japan office

HILLSBORO, Ore. -- RadiSys Corporation (NASDAQ:RSYS) , a leading global provider of advanced embedded systems, today announced Noriyuki Sato has been named representative director for the company's Tokyo office. Mr. Sato has held top management positions with Intel KK, and most recently Datacore Software KK, and brings 20 years of solutions marketing experience to the RadiSys team. As representative director, Mr. Sato will be responsible for extending the company's partner program as well as building customer relations and managing new and ongoing customer opportunities in Japan.

"RadiSys has had a presence in Japan for a decade and we currently sell our entire line of commercial, enterprise and service provider products to customers in this region. As representative director, Mr. Sato will build on this success and be responsible for continuing to meet the needs of customers in this important area."

Prior to joining RadiSys, Mr. Sato was a vice president at Datacore Software KK (DCKK). In this position, he was responsible for identifying and pursuing business opportunities in Japan and was credited with growing sales while initiating partnership programs with NRI and Newtech. Before joining DCKK, Mr. Sato spent nearly 20 years with Intel KK. During his tenure with Intel, Mr. Sato held several management positions including Field Application Group general manager and also general manager of IA Platform & Solution Marketing. Mr. Sato successfully grew the Intel Architecture (IA)-based server business to achieve over 80 percent market share in Japan and also lead the launch of Intel's first 64-bit processor server/workstation designs with all of the major OEMs in the region, including NEC, Hitachi and HP. He is also credited with developing and implementing OEM and channel server motherboard programs and also successfully implementing strategic partner programs for IA-based enterprise solutions with major ISVs, OEMs and System Integrators including Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, NRI, NEC, Hitachi and Fujitsu.
