PORTSMOUTH, N.H. and FREMONT, Calif. -- Pannaway Technologies, a leading provider of converged voice, video and data platforms to broadband service providers and net.com (NYSE:NWK), a global supplier of communications equipment, announced today they have finalized an integration and distribution agreement whereby Pannaway will integrate net.com’s SHOUT platform into its industry-proven Service Converged Network (SCN™) triple play solution. Pannaway will also provide Tier 1 service support for all SCN-based SHOUT products.

The agreement enables telecommunications service providers, including Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (ILEC), to seamlessly deliver carrier-class end-to-end SIP-based VoIP telephony services, high-quality digital IP video and high-speed (26 Mbps) Internet access over a single broadband connection – without costly infrastructure upgrades. Pannaway’s SCN is the only solution that allows carriers to deliver all the advanced calling features of SIP-based VoIP without the need to replace existing Class 5 switches.

Pannaway’s selection of the SHOUT platform expands SCN’s SIP-based VoIP service capabilities for its customers’ subscribers. SHOUT’s integrated SS7 functionality enables seamless connectivity of IP telephony traffic directly to the existing PSTN. By supporting existing PSTN interfaces such as SS7, SHOUT allows carriers to migrate to VoIP without requiring them to replace their existing switching infrastructure.

“After extensive customer trials, it was apparent that SHOUT was a cost-effective, easy-to-use platform for carriers to deliver advanced VoIP services to subscribers,” said Michael Skubisz, chief technical officer for Pannaway. “The key driver that led Pannaway to integrate SHOUT into its SCN was its ability to interwork SIP with the SS7 protocol in a single, affordable, compact solution.”
