WESTFORD, Mass. -- Narad Networks, Inc., a broadband IP services infrastructure company, today announced a breakthrough architecture for cable operators to deliver broadband IP services over existing hybrid fiber coaxial (HFC) networks. Narad’s Virtual Fiber solution includes next-generation broadband access technology and a service delivery software platform that enables cable operators to generate immediate return on capital investment by making a light-touch, incremental enhancement to their existing infrastructures. Initially targeted to help cable operators service the underserved business market, Narad’s Virtual Fiber solution provides ubiquitous broadband access for high-margin IP-based services and may be seamlessly extended to other vertical markets such as residential.Narad’s Virtual Fiber architecture consists of an advanced HFC broadband access solution called the Narad Broadband Access Network (NBAN), the Narad Service Delivery Platform (NSDP) for simplifying broadband IP service delivery, and the Narad Content Management System (NCMS) for management and delivery of advanced content-based broadband IP services.
