NEW ORLEANS -- Minerva Networks, the leading provider of software solutions for the delivery of television services over Internet Protocol networks (TV-over-IP), today announced enhancements to its xTVFusion 5 platform that enable operators to reach, engage, and monetize more subscribers with new, high-margin TV services. Service providers can now deliver richer capabilities to their high-bandwidth IPTV subscribers and offer new engaging linear and on-demand TV services (Broadband TV) to low-bandwidth subscribers. The enhanced Minerva xTVFusion 5 platform represents a breakthrough for the TV-over-IP marketplace as it gives operators the ability to deliver HD-like TV to the large base of lower-bandwidth subscribers for the first time ever.

“Operators can now offer television services to a much broader set of subscribers, even those with limited bandwidth to the home,” said Mauro Bonomi, CEO of Minerva Networks. “We are enabling service providers to dramatically increase revenues from their existing customer base by making it possible for them to offer new entertainment packages that strengthen loyalty and enhance profitability at a time of increased competition and economic pressures.”
