PARIS -- LEA, European leader of voice/data ADSL/VDSL splitters for subscribers and operator networks, is pleased to announce a significant enhancement of the LEA DSL Interoperability Test Lab’ s test platform.

Since 2001, as a service to European equipment vendors, service providers and telecom operators, LEA’s Independent Test Laboratory has been testing the interoperability of ADSL modems and DSLAMs in the European network. Such tests are performed by LEA according to the specifications of the DSL Forum and of major operators, including France Telecom and n9uf Telecom.

New DSLAM software releases and line cards now available for DSL interoperability testing include:

  • For Alcatel DSLAMs: two additional software releases and an ABLT-Dlinecard

  • For ECI Telecom DSLAMs: one additional software release and aSTU-C32aline card

  • For Lucent Technologies and Huawei DSLAMs: one additional softwarereleaseeach

These new configurations significantly broaden LEA’s test capabilities, and are available for full interoperability testing of DSL chipsets and CPE devices, including ADSL, G.SHDSL, ADSL2/2+, and Re-ADSL tests. LEA thus confirms its position as the only DSL Forum-recognized Interoperability Test Lab in France, and one of only eight existing labs in the world.
