Juniper Selected for US Mine Safety

US Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration selects Juniper Networks to secure remote user access

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:JNPR - News) today announced the deployment of its Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) compliant Secure Access 3000 SSL VPN solution within the United States Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). The SSL VPN appliance will help MSHA enhance access capabilities for remote users while reducing management costs and improving security.

MSHA required a secure remote access solution that is compliant with FIPS. The Juniper Networks SSL VPN provides stringent security to address federal requirements while eliminating the need for client-software deployment, changes to internal servers, as well as costly ongoing maintenance and desktop support.
