Ipanema Launches nano|engine Family

PARIS -- Ipanema Technologies – a market visionary in WAN Optimisation Controllers (WOC) – today announces the immediate availability of the nano|engine family of low cost, ultracompact devices tailored for branch offices.

WOCs have traditionally focused on addressing high delay, low bandwidth and expensive access lines, concentrating their feature-set on extremely demanding compression and protocol acceleration. With price points from €5,800 to €14,500 these devices cannot address the high speed, low price branch office market. Priced at €433 and €724 and with an optimized feature-set, the new nano|engines from Ipanema Technologies perfectly fit the needs of the modern connected branch office.

Application delivery in branch offices is undergoing tremendous transformation: traffic originating from private data centers is combining with traffic from external public clouds; hybrid networks proliferate; Unified Communication is increasing branch-to-branch flows; bandwidth intensive usages like hosted virtual desktops and rich media delivery are emerging. Slow response times to access customer data or delays in processing an order lead to customer dissatisfaction and loss of productivity. Nano|engines’ ability to guarantee application performance prevents key applications like Point of Sale and ERP systems from suffering network related delays.
