SAN DIEGO -- Continuous Computing®, global provider of integrated systems and services that enable telecom equipment manufacturers to rapidly deploy Next Generation Networks (NGN), today announced the four-year anniversary of Trillium Professional Services, the company’s in-house consulting group. This highly-skilled group of protocol software and telecom infrastructure experts operates as an extension of customers’ development teams, thereby expediting solution delivery and reducing project risk. Continuous Computing originally acquired the Trillium business from Intel Corporation in February 2003 as part of a strategic evolution from providing hardware building blocks to offering complete integrated systems.

Trillium Professional Services is comprised of veteran engineers who have contributed significantly to the design of essential telecom infrastructure used for IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and NGN applications. The engineering and project management experts assigned to Trillium Professional Services work seamlessly with customers’ in-house teams, either alongside client engineers or off-site at test locations and customer facilities. Such flexibility allows telecom equipment manufacturers to outsource entire optimization, customization, and new development projects while focusing in-house resources on other priorities.

The Trillium team has been delivering market-leading telecom infrastructure solutions for nearly 20 years. Customers work with Trillium Professional Services on a wide variety of development projects, including Node B data plane and control plane applications, M1UA over standard SCTP, fault tolerant applications for a trunking gateway over MEGACO / H.248, GSM and GPRS simulators, SIGTRAN customization and integration for SMSC, and custom hardware board design to support aggressive cost reduction goals. Similarly, recent Trillium Quick!Start consulting engagements have focused on media gateway application design, signaling gateway performance optimization, a comprehensive protocol stack management solution for a location-based server, and extended support for custom EMC and thermal system testing.

“The necessity for telecom equipment manufacturers to deliver tailored, performance-tuned solutions to service providers in this highly competitive market is paramount for growth,” said Mike Dagenais, chief executive officer, Continuous Computing. “In the past 24 months, we have seen a spike in the number of customers requiring integrated hardware and software solutions. By leveraging Trillium Professional Services, our customers benefit from lowered project risk and faster time to market.”
