Internap appoints James P. DeBlasio as president and chief operating officer

ATLANTA -- Internap(R) Network Services Corporation (AMEX: IIP) today announced the appointment of James P. DeBlasio as president and chief operating officer. DeBlasio, who has served as a member of Internap's Board of Directors since 2003, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's engineering, operations, marketing and sales functions.

DeBlasio most recently served as financial vice president and chief financial officer of the Wireline and Wireless product portfolio of Lucent Technologies, which represented over 70% of Lucent's annual revenue stream. Prior to that, he held various executive positions at Lucent with responsibilities ranging from planning and analysis of product portfolios to directing business unit strategy with financial oversight for its worldwide network systems manufacturing. With more than 23 years of telecom experience, DeBlasio also worked for AT&T Corporation prior to its spin off of Bell Laboratories.
