Nextlink launches broadband wireless services in the New York City metro area

RESTON, Va. -- Nextlink Wireless, Inc., a leading provider of broadband wireless access solutions today announced that it has expanded its nationwide coverage with the availability of broadband wireless services in the New York City metropolitan area. This expansion into New York means that Nextlink can now meet the increasing bandwidth needs of communication carriers and businesses in more then 80 of the largest U.S. markets. Nextlink’s expansion into the New York metropolitan area will enable customers in New York City, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties along with customers in several surrounding New Jersey and Connecticut counties to take advantage of the Nextlink broadband wireless services.

Nextlink products will deliver carrier grade, high-speed connectivity up to 800 Mbps. They also enable true network redundancy offering a cost effective disaster recovery solution for financial institutions, medical organizations and other businesses that operate in the New York City metropolitan area. The Nextlink products will provide broadband wireless services for communication service providers and businesses to transition seamlessly from traditional telecommunications services to more advanced networking solutions based upon Internet Protocol (IP) technology.
