Dominion Lasercom Wins Patent

This patent, the second for the company, is a continuation to its first pioneering point-to-multipoint patent that issued in July 1998. Dominion's invention, U.S. Patent No. 6,348,986, allows for the cost effective deployment of high bandwidth free-space optic technology without the need for installing mailbox or satellite dish sized equipment, eliminating the need and expense of an electric utility connection to the roof. This breakthrough fiber-coupled technology has already been implemented into Dominion's DAViD(R) (Digital Audio Video infrared Data) product line and has enabled the company to become the market's price leader in free-space optic hardware and installations.
