CHATSWORTH, Calif. -- MRV Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:MRVC - News), a leading provider of products and services for out-of-band networking, WDM and optical transport, metro Ethernet, fiber-optic components, 10GE and other service aware networking products, today announced that three of its solutions have completed testing by the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC). JITC is an organizational element of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and certifies interoperability for all networking products to be used by agencies of the Department of Defense (DOD).

JITC testing provides a thorough representation of a product's ability to provide protocol compliance, stability, scalability, management and security to DOD networks. MRV has received an Interoperability Assessment and a Standards Conformance certification from the JITC for the Lambda Driver® scalable wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) system; Fiber Driver® systems for services demarcation, WDM and media conversion; and its LX4000T, the latest in its series of console servers which delivers comprehensive out-of-band networking, supporting serial services, power management and sensor management features.
