AUSTIN, Texas -- Datum Inc., (Nasdaq:DATM) the leading global supplier of carrier-class synchronization solutions, today announced that the company is providing its TimePieces(tm) family of smart chipset clocks to synchronize Maple Optical Systems Inc.'s next generation network and service creation platform. This bandwidth management platform will serve the carrier and telecommunications service provider market. Maple chose Datum not only because of the company's decades-long experience in developing standards-based synchronization solutions, but also for its custom board clock, populated with off-the-shelf functionality and the seamless integration that Datum's new TimePieces product provides.
