Ericsson Wins Danish DSLAM Deal

TeliaSonera in Denmark has selected Ericsson's DSL Access solution to provide triple-play services

STOCKHOLM -- TeliaSonera in Denmark has selected Ericsson to deliver its Ethernet DSL Access solution, providing new broadband capabilities to the TeliaSonera subscribers. Under the sole supplier contract, Ericsson is providing its Ethernet DSL Access solution and related services. Deliveries have already started.

The new, advanced IP/Ethernet broadband access network will enable TeliaSonera to deliver triple play services such as high-speed Internet access, voice and video/TV simultaneously for residential and business users in a cost-efficient way.

"We intend to strengthen our position on the Danish broadband market, and Ericsson's technology-leading Ethernet DSL Access solution will reinforce the quality and competitiveness of our services", said Peter Bredgaard, CEO at Telia Networks in Denmark. "We expect a lineary development towards the IP/Ethernet scenario, and with Ericsson's scalable and future-proof DSLAM system, we will be able to adjust effectively to the development of the Danish market."
