EPI to Support New Intel Processors

SAN FRANCISCO -- Embedded Performance, Inc. (EPI) today announces their intention to support the new Intel(R) IXP2400, IXP2800 and IXP425 Network Processors. The company also announces that it intends to introduce a full software development tool suite for the Intel next generation processors within the next quarter. The company is demonstrating the debug tools at the Intel Developer Forum beginning today. The demonstration features the company's EDB source-level debugger and MAJIC-MX intelligent debug probe interfacing with the on-chip debug facilities of the new network processors based on the Intel(R) XScale(TM) microarchitecture to deliver a high-performance debug environment that requires no software instrumentation and uses no resources of the system under development. "Working with companies like EPI to develop a robust set of development tools that support our new IXP Network Processors is an essential component of the solution we offer our customers," said Doug Davis, general manager of the Intel Network Processor Division.
