MILPITAS, Calif. -- Kineto Wireless, Inc., the key innovator and leading supplier of Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology, and Comneon GmbH & Co OHG, a leading supplier of mobile software and wholly owned subsidiary of Infineon Technologies AG (FSE/NYSE:IFX), today announced that Comneon has selected Kineto's UMA client technology for integration into its mobile software platform consisting of Comneon's leading GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS protocol stack and APOXI(TM) Application Framework.

Handset developers can use the resulting solution to rapidly introduce new UMA-enabled mobile handsets to market. The UMA-enabled Comneon Protocol Stack Solution is being demonstrated in the Infineon Technologies booth (Hall 1, Booth C08 and C09) at 3GSM in Barcelona, Spain this week. The demonstration is based on the Wi-Fi-enabled Mobile Phone Platform MP-EU, featuring Infineon's wireless LAN (WLAN) and EDGE chipset.

"We are pleased to be working with Kineto Wireless," said Thomas Lindner, Senior Director of Marketing for Comneon. "Our goal is to offer the best convergence-enhanced software platforms on the market. Using Kineto's highly portable, robust, and proven GAN (Generic Access Network)/UMA client, integrated with our protocol stack and the APOXI(TM) Application Framework, our handset customers can get to market quickly with UMA-enabled devices."
