Freescale has named William R. Bradford senior vice president of global sales

AUSTIN, Texas -- Freescale Semiconductor (NYSE:FSL) (NYSE:FSL.B) has named William R. Bradford senior vice president of global sales. Bill will lead Freescale's worldwide sales effort across all markets and business units and report directly to Chairman and CEO Michel Mayer.

"Bill is a world-class, high-energy executive who brings Freescale great semiconductor industry experience and a proven track record," said Mayer.

Bill joins Freescale from ON Semiconductor, which he joined three years after its spin-off from Motorola to rebuild the sales and marketing function, helping the company gain market share and return to profitability.

Bill has more than 20 years of semiconductor sales experience. He had an 11-year career with Cypress Semiconductor where he held positions of increasing sales responsibility, serving in his last role as vice president of European sales and marketing. He began his semiconductor sales career with Texas Instruments as a technical sales representative.



Bill earned his bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Indiana and a master of science in management from the University of Alabama.
