Chorum Technologies president and CEO Scott Grout takes a new job; former COO/CFO Kent Coker takes over the helm

RICHARDSON, Texas -- Chorum Technologies announced today that Kent Coker has been appointed company president and CEO. Scott Grout, who previously held that role, has accepted a position with another company, which will be announced at a later date. Previously, Coker was Chorum Technologies’ COO and CFO.Coker has been a senior member of Chorum Technologies’ executive team for nearly four years and has been instrumental in establishing the company as a leading provider of differentiated optical components and sub-systems. He brings to the company more than 20 years of leadership experience in technology and telecommunications products.“I am enthusiastic about our growing commercial position with new products and customers,” said Coker. “Over the past 18 months we have tripled our product offerings, now to a portfolio of 54 revenue-producing products. These products have strong market endorsement, with 17 active customers today.
