Will seek shareholder approval to change its corporate name to Ardent Communications Inc.

WASHINGTON, .D.C. -- CAIS Internet, Inc. (Nasdaq: CAIS), a provider of broadband access and bundled data services to businesses and hotels nationwide, today announced that it will seek shareholder approval at its upcoming annual shareholders' meeting to change its corporate name to Ardent Communications, Inc. The Company has reserved a new Nasdaq stock symbol, (Nasdaq: ARDT), and will launch a new Web site, to be announced upon approval of its new name. "There are only a few nationwide independent services providers that can boast of a data network of this size and flexibility," said Michael Lee, President and CEO of CAIS Internet.
