Yokota Trials Triple Play

TOKYO -- Allied Telesis Capital Corporation (AT Capital), a subsidiary of Allied Telesis Holdings K.K. (headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo, Chairman and CEO: Takayoshi Oshima) and NTT America, Inc. (headquartered in New York, CEO: Tetsuro Yamaguchi), the wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation, today announced the launch of IP Triple Play services on the United States Air Force Base in Yokota, Japan. The services will be powered by the Global Super Link product of NTT Communications, a virtual end-to-end trans-Pacific Ethernet connection over the NTT Communications Global IP Network using MPLS over Ethernet technology. The trial will begin the week of January 22nd, followed by a full complement of IP television services from the United States by March 2007.

This project is the first of a series of planned partnerships between Allied Telesis Holdings K.K. and NTT America aimed at providing IP Triple Play services to United States military installations worldwide.
