MILLERSVILLE, Md. -- Gould Fiber Optics, a leading international provider of passive and active fiber optic components and manufacturer of advanced integrated optic solutions, is pleased to announce new product developments in PON and high-density solutions. The Micro and Mini Modules combine the need for configuration flexibility and condensed packaging (The Micro-55mm x 55mm x 8mm or The Mini-50.8mm x 76.2mm x 8mm) for outside plant applications. Gould will be showcasing the micro and mini modules at the Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) Conference in New Orleans on October 15- 17, Booth #312.Gould Fiber Optics' micro and mini modules are a line of Wavelength Independent Couplers (dual window couplers) that are capable of splitting light from a common input(s) to multiple independent outputs. Gould's technology and manufacturing process is based on Fused Biconical tapered technology as well as Gould's patented GlasSolder® technology bringing you concatenated modules of unprecedented size (The Micro-55mm x 55mm x 8mm and The Mini- 50.8mm x 76.2mm x 8mm) and performance at the right price. The concatenated splitters lend themselves to a high degree of flexibility both in port configurations and packaging options. The modules are available as 1 X N and 2 X N configurations with any number of outputs from 2 to 32 for the Micro Module and 2 to 64 for the Mini Module, available as standard product. Standard product features even splits, but custom split ratios are available. This space saving, high-density module features low loss and excellent uniformity with minimal back reflection.
