Entropic has promoted Tim Pappas to vice president of operations

SAN DIEGO -- Entropic Communications, Inc. has promoted Tim Pappas to vice president of operations. Tim joined Entropic as director of product and test engineering, and was promoted to director of operations two years ago.

"Tim and his team have done a spectacular job in the whole area of product delivery to our customers, especially during the aggressive ramp over the last couple of quarters," said Patrick Henry, president and CEO of Entropic. "I am confident that Tim and his team will continue to do a great job as we increase our capacity and expand our customer base over the coming quarters and years."

Tim has more than 20 years of semiconductor product and test engineering experience. In his new position, Tim will continue to manage Entropic's global supply chain, quality and reliability efforts, and product and test engineering.

Before joining Entropic, Tim managed the product engineering group for Mindspeed Technologies, a chip vendor for telecommunications. He served in similar roles at Conexant Systems and its predecessor company, Rockwell International. Tim has also held management positions at Brooktree and TRW, where he drove product qualification and commercialization efforts for a variety of communications and video products.

Tim holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from San Diego State University.
