NewCross acquires full commercialization rights and a perpetual license to Telcordia's softwswitch patent portfolio

SAN MATEO, Calif. -- NewCross Technologies, Inc., a leading Voice over IP (VoIP) communications company today announced its worldwide, perpetual license rights to the softswitch patent portfolio of Telcordia Technologies, Inc., a global provider of telecommunications software and services.
NewCross acquired certain softswitch assets from Telcordia in early 2004 including full commercialization rights and a perpetual license to the recent patent awarded to Telcordia. U.S. patent number #6,724,747, which defines a "Method and system for media connectivity over a packet-based network."
