Silicon Access Networks appoints Wayne Nemeth to board of directors

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Silicon Access Networks, an industry leader in semiconductor data path processing solutions, today announced the appointment of Wayne Nemeth, a partner with The Sprout Group, to its board of directors. The Sprout Group is a venture capital firm focused on emerging technologies that manages more than $3 billion in committed capital. "We are excited to have Wayne Nemeth join our distinguished board of directors," said Perry Constantine, president and chief executive officer of Silicon Access Networks. "Mr. Nemeth's knowledge of the networking industry along with his strong financial, technology and strategic consulting experience will be very beneficial to Silicon Access Networks as we continue to achieve performance and design leadership in the data path processing market." Mr. Nemeth joined The Sprout Group in 1998 and focuses on telecommunications components and systems investing. Before joining The Sprout Group, he worked at Bachow & Associates, where he focused on telecommunications and software venture capital investing. Prior to his venture capital career, he worked at Booz Allen & Hamilton, providing strategic and operational consulting to technology and manufacturing businesses. He also worked for the Boeing Company as a supervisor and an engineer in aerodynamics, focusing on a number of programs including the 777 jetliner. Silicon Access Networks Inc.
