Celestica commences strategic outsourcing relationship with NEC

TORONTO -- Celestica Inc. (NYSE, TSE: CLS), a world leader in electronics manufacturing services (EMS), today announced that it has commenced its previously announced five-year strategic manufacturing agreement with NEC of Japan. As announced in early January, this transaction will see Celestica assume supply chain management, sub-assembly, final assembly and testing for a broad range of NEC's optical backbone and broadband access equipment. As part of the agreement, Celestica has acquired certain of NEC's advanced manufacturing operations in Miyagi and Yamanashi, Japan. Celestica Inc. NEC Corp.
