IP Dynamics appoints Elston to VP of worldwide sales and marketing

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- IP Dynamics, the market leader in secure virtual network solutions, today announced the appointment of Steve Elston to vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. In this role, Elston will be responsible for leading the company’s marketing and sales organizations in North America, Europe and Asia. To date, the company has established eight top tier service providers globally based on user demand for its highly collaborative and secure virtual communications solutions. Elston will report directly to Hasan Alkhatib, president and CEO of IP Dynamics.

Elston brings over 20 years of experience working with service providers in developing infrastructure solutions that yield high ROI. He joins IP Dynamics from Crescendo Networks as president of Americas. During Elston’s tenure, he established the company’s award winning products working with service providers closely in solving infrastructure problems. Prior to joining Crescendo, Elston was vice president of sales for WinCom Systems Inc., a high-performance web acceleration company. Before WinCom, he co-founded VPN Dynamics, a security appliance company, and served as vice president of sales and marketing. He also held senior management positions with Digital Island Inc., a global network service provider, as well as 3Com Corporation and Pacific Bell. He holds a bachelors degree with honors in telecommunications policy and law from the University of San Francisco.
