Saudi-based HiTs Telecom acquires 45% stake in Liberian operator LiberCell, with option to increase its holding to 75%

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia -- HiTs Telecom has successfully acquired a 45% share in a promising local Liberian telecom Company (Atlantic Wireless "Libercell"). HiTs Telecom has an option to buy up to 75%of the company in the next 15 months. Libercell is considered today second in the market. It has a unique position in Liberia telecom market and is promised to play a major role driven by two competitive advantages:
Through the state of the art technology (GPRS and EDGE) that is only available in its network and that allow Value Added Services increasing ARPU and avoiding churn of customers.
