READING, U.K. -- BE Unlimited, a subsidiary of O2, has overtaken its parent and taken the top spot in the Large ISP category, with O2 falling into a very respectable second place. PlusNet remain highly rated and retain the third position.

Whilst most broadband users subscribe to services from one of the larger providers, smaller companies operating in niche markets often seek to differentiate themselves by claiming to provide a better service, and indeed the top three niche providers all demonstrate this very aptly with scores exceeding 85 per cent customer satisfaction.

AAISP retains the crown for the niche provider category with Zen Internet and IDNet not far behind, all maintaining their positions from last year. Quite astoundingly, AAISP has increased its lead from 89 to 92 per cent for customer service and 82 to 88 per cent for reliability.

Sebastien Lahtinen, co-founder of thinkbroadband.com explains, “When comparing broadband services, the headline ‘up to’ speed and price are often key considerations, but users should not forget to consider the costs of an unreliable broadband connection, or the time spent trying to fix any problems.

“All of the top companies in these awards are known to provide excellent customer service and their repeated performance is testament to the continued satisfaction of their user base.”
