SAN DIEGO -- Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC) [NASDAQ: AMCC] today announced the availability of its multi-service application software suite for the MISSION™ chipset. Designed for multi-service switches and routers, Wireline Access (DSL, CMTS, PON, Media Gateways), Mobile Infrastructure, and Metro Aggregation equipment, the software implements support for ATM Layer 2 switching, Multi-Link PPP, IMA, Multi-Link Frame Relay, and ATM SAR. This robust, production-quality applications suite allows AMCC to help customers develop high-performance, feature-rich products and minimize time-to-market.

AMCC’s multi-service software suite delivers a proven set of solutions that can be directly deployed and utilized in customers’ systems. Significantly reducing the amount of code that customers are required to write by providing the core product functionality, AMCC’s software suite affords OEMS the ability to focus development resources on implementing truly differentiating processing capabilities for their products.
