PARIS -- The Bouygues group's consolidated sales for the first half of 2007 amounted to 13.3 billion euros, an increase of 10% on the year-earlier period, or 9% like-for-like and at constant exchange rates.

Bouygues Telecom reported sales of 2,300 million euros, up 5.5%.

Sales from network came to 2,176 million euros, a 6.2% increase over the first half of 2006. This performance was due to the popular Neo and Exprima plans, launched on 1 March 2006, which had a limited impact on first-half 2006 sales. However, growth in the second half of 2007 is expected to be lower than in the first half because of an abatement of the Neo effect and a decline in roaming revenue.

At 30 June, Bouygues Telecom had 8,807,000 customers, including 6,437,000 contract customers (73.1%).
